Now I'm supposed to tell you seven facts about myself, then pass the award along.

1. I *never* go barefoot. Never ever ever. Right now I'm sitting here typing on my bed, relaxed, with shoes and socks on. Flylady would be so proud of me.

2. Over the last year, I have become a toy person. Never would have thought that would happen. I'm loving my phone, and my newest toy, my nook. I really do play with them like toys. Who would ever have imagined that!

3. If I wake up and there are dirty dishes in the sink, it starts my whole day off in a bad way. If I wake up and there are both dirty dishes in the sink and laundry piled up to be folded, it would be best for everyone in the house to just stay in bed. All day.

4. I'm a "save it all up and do the laundry on one day" kind of person. Because it really does take an entire day to do it all, if for some reason I can't get started in the morning, I put it off until the next day. We are nearing a state of laundry emergency right now.

5. I just realized that I haven't ever completed a self-help book. I buy them with great intentions (and trust me, this self could use some help!), but I can't think of a one I've read all the way through. Maybe someone should write a self-help book about how to read a self-help book.

6. I absolutely love the show Psych, and especially love it when Wednesday sneaks up on me and I realize I don't have to wait too long to see it again. I really miss the days when Monk and Psych came on back to back.

7. Our summer lack of a schedule is grating on my nerves. I put together our schedule for the start of school and I am so looking forward to it. I'm not looking forward to school nearly as much as I'm looking forward to schedules and routines.

Sweet!! My friend Krystal at Show Us the World gave me a blog award! Thanks Krystal!! Y'all check out her blog. She's the mama of a "family on the road" and writes about all of their adventures. Fabulous pics and great stories too! I've known Krystal for, I'm guessing, about nine years now. We were in a small group of online friends, and this past spring, we finally got a chance to meet in person. What a treasure!

5. Your favorite food: um ... I pretty much like all food. Mexican
6. Your dream from last night: I dreamed that I had a sweet boy snuggled up next to me ... and I did. :) snuggly

8. Your dream/goal: to be completely debt free peaceful
9. What room are you in: dining room at my mother in law's house dining
10. What is your hobby: reading, scrapbooking, photography reading

Seven (random and silly) things I love ... not counting family and friends because y'all know I love them:

1. I adore iced tea! I seriously make a pitcher every day. I like it sweet, but sweet tea and diabetes don't mix so well, so mine is made with #2 on my list.

Splenda!! (Please no comments about how bad splenda is. I'm aware of its downside and choose to love it until one day I wake up and can make myself like stevia.)






3. Because I know diabetes takes a vacation when good Easter candy abounds.



(okay, enough FOOD on my things I love list!)

This is really the only show that I watch regularly ... although regularly has meant less than once a month this year. (And yes, I missed Mondays but caught a spoiler headline ... and wish I hadn't!)

6. Love my camera!!


7. Something has to balance out all of those Cadbury eggs, right?

Aww!! I uploaded the pic without looking at it first; I knew that was safe since folder #4 was labeled "calendar pics". This is Brendan, about 18 mo old. He was about to lay on the cat. I think the cat is suspecting what is up and she's giving him "the eye." Aww, Brendan was so sweet!

So 6 uninteresting quirky facts about myself are......

1. I am a sheet snob. Regular sheets won't work for me, I need at least 600 thread count. Jim used to roll his eyes at this, but I have converted him and he is a sheet snob too now.

2. I seem to have a door obsession. All doors that should be closed must be closed at all times. Closet doors, cabinet doors ... I promise you I go into the bathroom about 37 times in a day and close the shower curtain and linen closet doors. (And I suspect that my family aims to slowly drive me insane by leaving these doors open.)

3. We've been home for three days and I haven't unpacked the suitcase yet. I figure we'll just keep getting our clothes out of there and eventually it will unpack itself.

4. I am *completely* OCD about some things. My blockfeeds (Homesat for our homeschool) all start and stop at the exact same place for each day's classes. I will go back and forth several times to get it just right.

5. I am a card-carrying member of the grammar police. Poor grammar drives me nuts, as do words spelled incorrectly.

6. I absolutely can't stand to have sand or dirt or anything gritty on my feet. I'll never wear shoes with open toes and generally wear shoes or at least socks at home.

That was harder than I thought it would be!
